We sat down with Manoella Alves, global director of sustainability at Zinpro, to hear how sustainability is being embedded into company culture through employee driven ideas, measurable progress in manufacturing, animal benefits that impact customers, social and ethical initiatives and practical goals for 2026.
Our sustainability journey centers on culture, accountability and real progress. By measuring water use, waste and emissions across manufacturing facilities, Zinpro has identified improvements already in place, even before formal goals were established. Looking ahead to 2026, we are focused on setting achievable sustainability goals, empowering employees to contribute ideas and ensuring sustainability becomes part of how business is done every day. Watch to learn how Zinpro is working to Fortify the Future™ by focusing on action, accountability and continuous improvement.
Sustainability as Culture
What are the sustainability goals for Zinpro in 2026?
Manoella Alves: We want to encourage and invite any employees to bring ideas forward that will help with our sustainability journey to define within our teams and our environment and what that really means and implement things that really matter.
Our goal is that sustainability is not a standalone discipline in the company but part of our culture. Zinpro has a legacy of doing goodwill since it was founded and we want to continue leaving a positive legacy behind us.
Measured Progress Before Promises
Where are you seeing real results from these efforts?
Manoella Alves: Last year, and in reporting this year, we did a baseline assessment of where we are with our water use, waste and emissions in our manufacturing facilities, we realized that we actually made improvements year after year even without having specific goals. And we’re looking forward to establishing goals that we can accomplish and not just promise. Also, we want every practice that our employees bring forward to become a part of the way we do business and operate.
Action driven Goals for 2026
What impact will this work have?
Manoella Alves: We hope that customers and employees realize that we’re not just accelerating but also expanding our Fortify the Future sustainability journey. And by that we want everyone to know is that we shouldn’t wait for things to be missing in order to make a change.
