Story Starters
Unlocking Reproductive Success Through Trace Minerals
Beef producers are constantly under pressure to ensure cows breed back early, maintain pregnancies and stick to tighter calving intervals. Challenges in meeting these goals often stem from trace mineral deficiencies and can have a domino effect across production stages. Optimizing nutrition with a trace mineral program can help reduce reproductive headaches, including delayed or nonexistent estrus cycles, early embryonic loss and the inability to heal post-calving
Optimizing Calf Performance from the Start Pays Off
Improving performance and keeping calves out of the sick pen begins with helping them bounce back from times of stress such as weaning, shipping, receiving and vaccination. With a significant investment made from receiving through finishing, restoring lost nutrients during times of stress is key to protecting your investment in calves and positioning them for a successful tenure in the feedyard.
Strong Feet, Strong Fertility in the Breeding Bull
Support bulls for reliable breeding and longevity in your herd by recognizing the vital role nutrition plays in both hoof integrity and reproductive performance. Because trace minerals contribute to sound hooves and semen quality, ensuring consistent mineral nutrition helps position bulls to remain active, cover more cows and support higher fertility throughout the breeding season.
The Feedlot Advantage
Equipping calves to perform from the day they enter the yard is key to boosting health, increasing yields and improving feedlot returns. Trace minerals play an important role in keeping calves at the bunk and supporting optimal performance in the yard and at the rail by helping drive fewer sick pulls, reducing mortality and adding carcass weight.
