O El Ni\u00f1o afeta as temperaturas e as correntes oce\u00e2nicas que, por sua vez, afetam a migra\u00e7\u00e3o de peixes selvagens no hemisf\u00e9rio sul. Quando os oceanos ficam mais quentes, os peixes migram para \u00e1guas e correntes mais frias, reduzindo a captura total de ingredientes de farinha de peixe, o que resulta em menor disponibilidade e pre\u00e7os mais altos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Aumento da demanda dos consumidores por pr\u00e1ticas sustent\u00e1veis de aquicultura<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Como o consumo de peixes e camar\u00f5es continuou a aumentar, os consumidores come\u00e7aram a investigar a sustentabilidade dos peixes e camar\u00f5es cultivados que estavam comprando. Para muitos consumidores, n\u00e3o fazia sentido cultivar peixes alimentando-os com outros peixes e, portanto, explorando excessivamente o oceano. <strong>Os consumidores come\u00e7aram a exigir uma aquicultura sustent\u00e1vel e ecologicamente correta.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consumidores, varejistas e at\u00e9 mesmo pa\u00edses que importam frutos do mar est\u00e3o procurando produtores de aquicultura com certifica\u00e7\u00f5es ecol\u00f3gicas para provar que est\u00e3o produzindo aquicultura sustent\u00e1vel. Reduzir a quantidade de farinha de peixe nas dietas de esp\u00e9cies aqu\u00e1ticas cultivadas \u00e9 uma maneira de obter uma dessas certifica\u00e7\u00f5es.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Impacto de fontes alternativas de prote\u00edna na nutri\u00e7\u00e3o da aquicultura<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Assim, o setor de aquicultura come\u00e7ou a procurar fontes alternativas de prote\u00edna e, atualmente, uma das fontes de prote\u00edna mais usadas nas formula\u00e7\u00f5es de ra\u00e7\u00e3o aqu\u00e1tica \u00e9 o farelo de soja.
