Dr. Cláudia Silva Joins Zinpro Corporation as Aquaculture Nutritionist

She will provide aquaculture customers with technical nutrition and research support

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn., May 2, 2018 – Zinpro Corporation announces Cláudia Silva, Ph.D., has joined the company as an aquaculture nutritionist. In this role, Dr. Silva will help direct Zinpro aquaculture research projects and provide technical services and support to key aquaculture customers across the globe, but primarily in Europe and the Americas. She will be based in Portugal.

Prior to joining Zinpro, Dr. Silva was responsible for managing aquaculture research and technical support for a major feed additive company. In addition, she previously worked as an aquaculture researcher at two highly regarded research institutions in France and Portugal.

Dr. Silva earned her doctoral degree in aquatic environmental sciences from Abel Salazar Biomedical Sciences Institute in Portugal, her master’s degree in marine sciences-aquaculture from the University of Porto in Portugal, and a zootechnical engineer degree in animal sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD) in Portugal. She has been a frequent author or contributor to peer-reviewed international scientific periodicals and technical magazines, often presenting research results at international and regional conferences.
