Zinpro Corporation Announces Sponsorship of Cowboy College

Eden Prairie, Minn. (Aug. 29, 2014) – Zinpro Corporation announces its sponsorship of the first-ever Beef Today Cowboy College. The event will be held Sept. 9-10 and hosted by Farm Journal Media’s Beef Today in Omaha, Neb.

The educational program is designed specifically for feedlot cattle crews – processing teams, cowboy doctors and others involved in the day-to-day care and welfare of the animals. The event will be led by industry-leading veterinarians Dan Thomson, DVM, Ph.D., Director of the Beef Cattle Institute at Kansas State University, Tom Noffsinger, DVM, consulting feedlot veterinarian from Benkelman, Neb., and Mike Apley, D.V.M., Ph.D., DACVCP, Professor, Kansas State University.

Zinpro Corporation long ago established itself as a leader in bovine foot health. The company draws from decades of experience and proven research to develop industry-leading tools for the cattle industry.

Most recently, Zinpro Corporation established the Step-Up™ Management Program for the beef cattle industry, in conjunction with the Beef Cattle Institute and Kansas State University. Launched in 2013, the Step-Up Management Program provides a systematic approach to identify and manage beef cattle lameness. It includes an innovative four-point locomotion scoring system specifically developed for beef cattle.

Zinpro’s sponsorship of the Cowboy College continues its long-standing commitment to feedlot performance and lameness education, focused on sharing vital information with those involved in the industry to promote improved cattle management.
