Successful applicants have shown exceptional scholastic achievement and service as well as an interest in continuing to learn and promote the role of the poultry industry in feeding the world\u2019s growing population.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt Zinpro, we\u2019re committed to supporting the next generation of poultry science leaders, including those from underrepresented backgrounds,\u201d said LaToya Burrell, Zinpro general counsel and executive director of Anderson Foundation. \u201cJenna\u2019s passion, hard work and leadership make her a standout, and we\u2019re excited to help her continue making an impact in the industry.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Boewe, a junior at Purdue University majoring in Animal Sciences with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Well-Being and a minor in Wildlife, is an undergraduate research assistant contributing to poultry welfare research. She is also the current president of the Purdue Poultry Club and spent the summer of 2024 as a hatchery intern at Rose Acre Farms and completed intensive coursework through the Midwest Poultry Consortium Center of Excellence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m incredibly grateful for this scholarship and the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion in the poultry industry, especially in the area of poultry welfare,&#8221; said Boewe. \u201cThis recognition not only affirms the work I&#8217;ve done so far but also inspires me to keep pushing for a more inclusive and compassionate future in agriculture.
