New, three-year charitable giving commitments to Heifer International and Bountifield International will help women-owned agricultural businesses in underdeveloped African nations prosper through targeted investments, tools and mentorship.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. \u2013 March 8, 2022 \u2013 Zinpro Corporation, the world\u2019s leading innovator and manufacturer of high-performance organic trace minerals and animal nutrition solutions, announced the company has partnered with Anderson Foundation for a three-year commitment in support of agricultural nonprofits Heifer International and Bountifield International.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are pleased to honor International Women\u2019s Day by empowering women-owned agricultural businesses in Africa,\u201d said Debra Anderson of Anderson Foundation, which is funded by Zinpro Corporation and was established by Zinpro co-founder Mary Anderson. \u201cOur partnerships with Heifer International and Bountifield International were the perfect place to double down on our ongoing commitment to gender equity as a means of eliminating poverty and lifting up entire communities.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zinpro President and CEO Rob Sheffer agreed, adding that the charitable gifts are an important source of pride for the company\u2019s employees around the world, including those who have joined its \u201cWomen of Zinpro\u201d initiative, a new employee resource group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heifer International\u2019s PRISM Project in Rwanda, Africa<\/strong>
Over the next three years, Zinpro\u2019s work with Heifer International will focus on a project in Rwanda, Africa called Partnership for Resilient and Inclusive Small Livestock Markets, or PRISM. The project, which will directly assist 23,400 families in Rwanda, aims to increase competitiveness and profitability of the small livestock sector in Rwanda by connecting small-scale producers with domestic and regional consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHeifer International is grateful to Zinpro and Anderson Foundation for supporting its work with farming families in Rwanda to improve nutrition and incomes,\u201d said Liz Ellis, corporate brand partnerships manager at Heifer International. \u201cThe funding will enable Heifer Rwanda to support an extra 20,000 families, with a focus on women and youth.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, Zinpro\u2019s support of Bountifield International over the coming three years will also support programming with gender equity at its center.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n
