Eden Prairie, Minn. (Jan. 28, 2013) – After attending the
2012 American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) annual conference in
early December, Dr. Alisha Olmstead is enjoying the new year with a “lucky”
tack trunk, horse blanket and case of ProCare™4, courtesy of Zinpro Corporation.
Olmstead, a veterinarian from Norco, Calif., was among the
nearly 500 entrants in the Zinpro booth drawing at the AAEP trade show.
Additionally, for each of the 500 entries, Zinpro Corporation donated $1 to The
Hoof Project Foundation, which provides care for horses affected with diseases
of the feet in cases where the owners cannot afford optimal care.
“Zinpro is pleased to support The Hoof Project Foundation,”
said Brad Frisvold, Zinpro marketing manager. “We know horses with hoof
diseases and other ailments receive superior care from this organization; and
like our commitment to providing superior trace minerals in ProCare-4, we have
the same desire to help the equine community deliver the greatest level of
healthcare to horses in need.”
During AAEP, Zinpro
representatives shared information on ProCare-4, a combination of four
proprietary trace minerals (zinc methionine, copper lysine, manganese
methionine and cobalt glucoheptonate). These trace minerals benefit horses in
various ways, including overall hoof health, hair/coat quality, immune function,
digestion and vaccination response.
“In addition to the
trace mineral benefits, the unique molecular structure of Zinpro Performance Minerals®,
including those found in ProCare-4, makes them the most bioavailable and easily
absorbed trace minerals on the market,” Frisvold added.
ProCare-4 is
available exclusively in the United States through veterinarians and
distributed by MWI Veterinary Supply (www.mwivet.com;
800/824-3703). ProCare-4 is packaged in a two-pound container that provides a
60-day supply.
