Eden Prairie, Minn. (Jan. 8, 2013) — Zinpro
Corporation has reorganized and expanded its Research and Nutritional Services team
to provide even stronger regional research and technical support for the
company’s comprehensive portfolio of performance minerals.

Terry Ward, Ph.D., has been appointed global director
of the company’s Research and Nutritional Services (RNS) team. In this role, he is responsible for managing all
research and technical service activities for the company worldwide. Ward
joined Zinpro in 2000 and is based at the company’s global headquarters in Eden
Prairie, Minn. He earned his doctoral and master’s degrees in animal nutrition
from Louisiana State University and his bachelor’s degree in animal science from
Oklahoma State University.
Ward is now
supported by four regional RNS managers who are responsible for managing research
and technical service activities for all species within their respective
Mike Socha, Ph.D., has been promoted to regional RNS
manager for North America. Socha joined the Zinpro RNS team more than 15 years
ago and most recently served as dairy research team leader. He will continue to
work from the company’s global headquarters in Minnesota. Prior to joining Zinpro in 1997, Socha was
manager of dairy research and development for a major Midwest-based feed
cooperative in the United States. He received his doctoral degree in animal and
dairy sciences from the University of New Hampshire and master’s and bachelor’s
degrees in dairy science at the University of Wisconsin.
Christof Rapp, Ph.D., has been appointed regional RNS
manager for Europe but will also provide technical support for the Middle East
and North Africa. Rapp joined Zinpro more than 12 years ago and most recently
served as the company’s research nutritionist for Europe. He will continue to
be based at the company’s regional office in Boxmeer, the Netherlands. Rapp earned his doctoral degree from
Hohenheim University, Germany.
Fei Ji, Ph.D., has been named regional RNS manager for
North Asia. Ji joined the RNS team at Zinpro in 2011 and is based at the
company’s regional office in Shanghai, China. Ji earned a doctoral degree in
swine nutrition from Texas Tech University and completed a post-doctorate at
the University of Illinois. He earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree
from Shanxi Agricultural University located in Taigu, China.
Alba Fireman, Ph.D., who joined Zinpro in 2012, serves
as regional RNS manager for South America. Based in Campinas, Brazil, Fireman has
more than 17 years of experience working in livestock and poultry nutrition.
She earned her doctorate in animal
nutrition at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, master’s degree in
animal production at Universidade Federal de Peoltas and bachelor’s degree in
poultry and swine production at Universidade Federal Rural de Pernambuco.
